Item Description
1.75" to 2.25". First reads “I Sell The Times=Herald Chicago’s Reliable Daily”. Founded 1895, this has W&H back paper in use only 1898-1900. Second reads “I Sell The Best Afternoon Paper/The Chicago Journal”. The paper ran 1844-1929. Button back has Pin-Lock 1898 patent date, so this is c. 1898-1902. Last and largest at 2.25” is “Working For A Free Vacation Trip To Chicago/Buy A Chicago American And Help Me Win.” This paper ran 1900-1975. The button has concave metal back w/fixed bar pin used c. 1900-1908. All three are glossy, clean, Exc. and rare.
