A Spanish bronze cannon captured during the Battle of Manila Bay was award to this little town who in created a fund-raising campaign called “Three Oaks Against The World” to honor casualties of the 1898 war. Button includes Dewey photo, name of their  campaign and tiny maps of newly acquired USA territories from Puerto Rico to the Philippines, plus an image of the cannon which sits to this day in Dewey Cannon Park awaiting its annual day in the limelight.
