Item Description
11.25x17-3/8" Marvel Comics artboard has pen and ink original art for Spider-Man #36, published by Marvel July 1993. Art is by Tom Lyle (1953-2019) w/inks by Scott Hanna. Part of the wildly popular 1990s Maximum Carnage storyline, art is for last page of story, featuring a total of four panels; last panel being great splash panel showing the Carnage symbiote taking over the body of Cletus Kasady once more, declaring "Carnage Never Dies!" Spider-Man and Venom can be seen in bkg. considering their options. Word balloons and story continuation strip at bottom are pasted stats. Top margin has piece of white tape w/inked "Spider-Man" title and issue numbers. These have aged and faded w/time. Page number in red marker at upper right. Hanna has signed in black ink at bottom margin, adding "'93" date. Staple hole at upper left w/.25" margin tear. Back has some tape remnants/staining, but art remains clean and Exc.
