Item Description
11.25x17.25" Marvel Comics artboard has pen and ink original art for Spider-Man #37, published by Marvel Aug. 1993. Art is by Tom Lyle (1953-2019) w/inks by Scott Hanna. Part of the wildly popular 1990s Maximum Carnage storyline, art is for page 15, featuring a total of six panels; showing Captain America and Deathlok wading through Shriek-controlled mob as Shriek and the Spider-Doppelganger look on. Captain America and Deathlok each appear in three panels while Shriek appears in two panels w/Spider-Doppleganger and in another by herself. Word balloons and captions are pasted stats, which have evenly aged. Top margin has inked title and issue/page numbers. Page number has been covered w/red marker and different page number added in red marker at upper right. Hanna has signed in black ink at bottom margin, adding "'93" date. Staple hole at upper. Back has "Hanna Finishes" notation in red ink. Art remains clean and Exc.
