Item Description
Original 8.5x11" mimeographed TV script for Dark Shadows episode 759, which aired on ABC May 22, 1969. Plain cover (bearing name of mimeograph service) is detached from staple at top left and has been signed on inside front cover by Dark Shadows star Jonathan Frid (1924-2012), who added "Barnabas" character name; Joan Bennett (1910-1990); Kathryn Leigh Scott, who added "Maggie Evans, Josette Collins, Rachel Drummond" character names. Cover shows obvious edge wear w/number of creases and tears. VG overall, but signatures remain strong for the most part (two tiny smudges to Bennett's signature and Leigh Scott's character names). First page has been signed in black felt tip pen by Grayson Hall (1922-1985); Humbert Allen Astredo (1929-2016); Terry Crawford; David Selby (who adds "Happy Dreamsville" inscription); Don Briscoe (1940-2004), who added sketch of blood-dripping vampire teeth. Briscoe's inscription has some smudging from moisture, but signature remains distinct. All signatures have been signed to Patti/Pat and we believe the script was signed to Patricia Bannon, who was a second unit producer during this time period of the show. Script shows wear w/corner crease by staple at top left and scattered margin wear w/creases and some small tears. Script pages are evenly aged. Fine overall. Comes w/reading copy of Dark Shadows #18 comic book, published by Gold Key Feb. 1973. Cover has been signed in black felt tip pen by Jonathan Frid, who boldly signed "Barnabas" above his signature. Comic shows moderate wear w/small hole and tape on front cover and surface paper lifts on back cover. Just VG overall, but would make for nice framed display.
