Item Description
1.5x2.75”. Issued by Philadelphia’s American Caramel Co. between 1908-10, the E91 set was issued in three distinct series and features illustrations of baseball players on front along w/player’s name, position and team appearing in the white border at bottom. Backs include player checklist by team. Harry Hooper spent 17 years in MLB primarily for the Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox and finished his career w/a total of four World Championships. Hooper posted a career batting average of .281 along with 1,429 runs scored and 375 stolen bases. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971. A bold signature has been neatly placed on the blank white border at bottom. To the best of our knowledge this is the only third party authenticated, signed example of this card in the hobby, making it a true 1/1.
