The 1911 Giants finished in first place in the National League w/a record of 99-54-1 under future National Baseball Hall of Fame manager McGraw. The mound corps was led by future HOF'ers Rube Marquard and w/the incomparable Christy Mathewson, one of the five inaugural members elected to Cooperstown in 1936. The Giants offense that season was led by Larry Doyle, who would finish third in MVP voting. Postcard credit at bottom of image reads “Sporty Postal Card Co., Newark, NJ”. Postcard back remains unused. Wear to a few faces but most remain sharp and distinct. Neat design.
