Item Description
7" tall (10.75" tall to top of raised handle) tin litho pail w/platform base. Ohio Art, 1930s. Exceptional wraparound scene titled "Mickey Mouse Picnic" depicts Mickey playing guitar, Clarabelle Cow dancing, Minnie Mouse cooking pancakes over a campfire, Goofy climbing a tree and Horace Horsecollar watching Pluto going after a beehive. Interior shows scattered wear w/some stabilized oxidation and is VG overall. Exterior remains exceptionally bright and clean and displays VF. Very rare, w/only three examples known to us. This is the actual photo example shown in Doug & Pat Wengel's book Comic Character Metal Sand Toys. Thom Carchedi Collection.
