Item Description
12.5x21.25" on mustard yellow card stock signed in pencil at lower right by artist Randy Tuten. Promoting a concert at Cow Palace on Nov. 20 as part of the "North American Tour 1973". This was the opening night of the tour behind their album Quadrophenia. Faint horizontal bend across lower 8th affecting ticketing info above signature. A vertical handling bend in the top triangle of graphic. VF. This show saw drummer Keith Moon pass out requiring an audience member, Scot Halpen, to assume his position on the drums. Speaking of the night w/ public radio in 2008 Halpen recalled "(Bill) Graham just looked at me and said, "Can you do it?" And I said, "Yes," straight out. Townshend and Daltrey look around at me and they're as surprised as I am, because Graham put me up there... Then I got really focused, and Townshend said to me, "You'll be fine. I'm going to lead you. I'm going to cue you." Halpen later won the Rolling Stone Magazine  "Pick-Up Player of the Year Award" for his performance this night.
