Item Description
11x17" artboard has pen and ink/inkwash original art by Mashall Rogers (1950-2007) for Bizarre Adventures #25 comic magazine, published by Marvel March 1981. Art is for The Daughters of the Dragon story Safe Streets by Chris Claremont and features eight panels, showing Misty Knight and Colleen Wing (Daughters of the Dragon) battling vampiric woman, w/Misty staking her w/broken sawhorse and Colleen beheading her w/her sword. Of note, fifth panel shows the known skeletal remains of the beheaded vampire. They are then confronted by angry group, many of them hooded vampires themselves. Marshall Rogers is perhaps best known for his Bronze Age Batman work. Art is for page 60 of published issue, top margin notes "21" story page number. This is written in pencil, along w/faint"Daughters Of The Dragon" at left. Aged tape strips at top/bottom center margins. Back has Marvel copyright inkstamp as well as "Marvel Preview" inkstamp (the publication was renamed Bizarre Adventures w/this issue, having previously been Marvel Preview).
