2-1/8x3-1/8". The 1946-47 Propagandas Montiel series consists of 180 cards depicting athletes, including baseball players and boxers. Card fronts feature bw photos while backs have bios along w/advertising for Cuban stores. An album was issued in conjunction w/this card set, thus accounting for many examples found in lesser condition due to paper loss from album removal.

John Lawrence Sullivan (1858 – 1918), known simply as John L. among his admirers, and dubbed the "Boston Strong Boy" by the press, was an American boxer. He is recognized as the first heavyweight champion of gloved boxing, de facto reigning from February 7, 1882, to September 7, 1892. Sullivan was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990, as a member of the hall's original class.
