Item Description
Larger format 1.75" dia. button, no maker. Yellow text w/lt. red photos on cream design calls for close viewing. This was issued for a 1925 Shiners National Convention. On June 6, four matches were held. This button promotes two of the four bouts; both the  lightweight class. Sammy Mandell (upper left) defeated Phil Salvadore (upper right) and Tommy O'Brien (lower right) defeated Ace Hudkins (lower left). Our only other Paul Michinsly Collection example had light age. This is glossy and Exc. Not faded, no stain. Second seen.
