Item Description
11-1/8x16-3/8" DC Comics artboard has pen and ink original art for story page 20 of Superman: The Secret Years #3, published by DC April 1985. Art is by longtime Superman artist Curt Swan (1920-1996) w/inks by Kurt Schaffenberger (1920-2002). Page features five panels, the first and last being splash panels and shows Superboy in first panel lifting an island to save it from a tsunami only for his roommate Billy Cramer to whistle for him when he becomes trapped in a burning building. Page ends w/the burning building collapsing, killing Billy as he calls out for Clark. Top margin has inked "S'Man/Secret Yrs" title abbreviation and issue/page numbers. Top margin has been trimmed, lower left and both right corners have been clipped, none affecting art. Back has DC copyright inkstamp. Art remains clean and Exc.
