Item Description
Steiff produced Mickey Mouse dolls in a variety of sizes during the 1930s, this one is 7" tall (to tips of ears). Has original string whiskers and is missing rubber tail as is typical. Both die-cut cardboard chest tag and metal button in ear affixing fabric tag are present. These are typically missing. All four mother-of-pearl pants buttons are intact. Typical aging most noticeable to non-black areas, however color remains strong, w/none of the fading these dolls typically feature. Tiny spot of wear to back of pants beisde one button. Underside of one foot has clear and distinct markings including "Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse." VF overall and stands nicely for display. Philip Samuels Collection.
