2.5x9.5x6.5" tall toy w/built-in key. Made in Germany by Tipp & Co., 1930. Classic toys depicts Mickey and Minnie Mouse riding motorcycle and is considered to be the most desirable Disney toy, not only coveted by collectors of Disneyana but motorcycle and wind-up collectors as well. Toy is nicely detailed, including Tipp & Co. "T Co." logo on side of gas tank, visisble motor and tires are marked "Dunlop Cord - 935x135." This example is complete and all original aside from two small spots of touch-ups to Mickey Mouse figure; one on left side at shoulder where separate tin litho arm connects to body (left arm stays in place, but tab does not make a truly secure connection) and tiny spot on neck of opposite side. Rest of toy shows all over aging and general wear including paint wear w/some scattered paint nicks/scratches, a few areas of bare metal showing. Left side w/motor shows less aging. Toy works well. VG overall. Less than 10 of this toy are known in their original state. Among the most sought after pieces of Disneyana. Philip Samuels Collection.
