Item Description
Lot of four, made in England, early 1930s. Each bears same design, showing either Mickey Mouse walking w/shovel in hand as two baby birds follow him, two baby birds on their own or a combination of the two w/"Come On Boys! We'll Go And Dig Some Nice Worms For Dinner" text. These images are from the Mickey Mouse March 1930 daily strip "Lost On A Desert Island" story where Mickey hides in a vulture's nest and is later followed around by two babies. The strip's gag was that one of the babies thought Mickey's tail was a worm. All also bear small "Walter E. Disney" name by art. Lot consists of 2.25" tall handle cup, 2-7/8" tall handled cup, 4-5/8x4-5/8" octagonal plate and 2-3/8" tall egg cup. Egg cup has "Mickey Mouse Series" text on underside along w/Paragon name while other three have same company marks w/o mention of Mickey. Traditional Paragon accents appear on each. All remain totally bright, clean and glossy. Exc. All Paragon china is highly sought after, this lot featuring matching design makes for a charming addition to any collection.
