Item Description
1" dia. Exceptional sculpt of an allegorical woman nursing a sickly man w/a bowl of water. Striking cobalt blue enamel banners read "Volunteer League" & "N.B.I.H". Other scarce examples date this image to c.1928, but we have not encountered this superior, enameled version before. Signed W&H (Whitehead & Hoag) reverse. Edge wear. Fine.
