Item Description
3.25" tall. Fine portrait w/identifying script & enameled Star of David. Blade is manufacturer stamped SMF w/"Leopold Gornitz, Germany" reverse. Gornitz was either the creator or importer of this piece, for which we can see other scarce examples. Gornitz himself was a Zionist leader active in the 1930s, whose papers are archived in The National Library of Israel. Surface rust to joints of blade only, presents beautifully. Exc.
