Item Description
From the same set as previous two lots. Sisler began his MLB career in 1915 w/the St. Louis Browns, where he would spend his first 12 seasons. He would post astounding batting averages of .407 in 1920 and .420 in 1922, copping the American League batting title both seasons and setting an MLB record w/257 hits in 1920. George would win the MVP award in 1922 while producing another all-time top 10 MLB season in base hits with 246. Inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1939.
