Lid has stamped "Superman" name one front side panel along w/size information and "No. 588" designation. Lid has three corner splits w/aged tape reapir to top corners. Box is VG overall. All-cotton suit consists of shirt, cape and pants plus vinyl belt w/gold metal buckle. Shirt has silk screened "S" emblem on chest and along front bottom edge is small image of Superman and boy wearing Superman outfit, both shown from the waist up along w/text "Remember - This Suit Won't Make You Fly Only Superman Can Fly." Designed w/buttons down the back and pants have elastic waistband, cape has string ties. Shirt has some lt. aging/wear, trace of yellowing and some wear to "S" shield. Fine overall. Pants have aging to one thigh area w/.75" spot of staining at this area as well as at bottom hem. VG. Plain red cape looks unused and Exc. Vinyl belt is rolled and looks unused, minor aging to buckle. VF. Comes w/7x9.5" four-page promotional "Superman's Buddy" comic book featuring Win Mortimer art.
