Item Description
Each 7/8" w/seldom seen W&H backpaper design used likely just in 1896 after Whitehead & Hoag's (W&H) acquisition of their April 14, 1896 patent; (small tear on one paper) however, issued towards year end as curls carry associated patent date of July 27, 1896. Product canister button has line of tan tone on back edge, not showing on clean front, promoting their bedrock product, "Heinz's Tomato Soup." Second button for "Heinz's Baked Beans With Tomato Sauce" has lady showing product can to elderly gentleman about to serve himself from a large bowl of beans. Executed in the rich and warm soft colors of the era. Exc., displays Mint.
