Auction #196 - Part I
Item numbers 1 though 975 in auction 196
Item Description
The large 1.75" button is Hake #3159. This has some small raised bumps mostly on the extreme outer edge plus a tiny dot of darker color on the right side edge not showing from the front. Collet holds moderately aged but intact 2" fabric flag ribbon. Comes with matching design in 1.25" size with brass rim. This has very light age on the cream bkg. and includes its seldom seen backpaper from "Abe Orman, Jobber, Phila." The other 5 items are 7/8". "The Safest" has about 4 pinpoint age dots barely showing on the rim edge. The rwb rim "For President" has a couple of very tiny indent marks that will catch reflected light. The one with small rwb shield has slightly yellowed but is totally clean. The two different in bw remain Exc. A nice representative group that includes the scarce 1.75".
