Item Description
2.75" double-sided celluloid scorer for calculating game points. One side is captioned "Doubles" and the opposite "Undoubled" while the rim edges are captioned "Vulnerable" and "Not Vulnerable." Apparent name of issuer in tiny text "De La Rue - London." c. 1930s. Second is the "Johnson 'Standard Exposure Calculator." This is 2.5" with a notched wheel on one edge and a curved die-cut window where the settings appear. Sample situations include "Close-up Portraits In Shade - Distant Buildings - Open Landscape," etc. An additional chart on the back gives hours of the day along with speed of the film and type of weather from "Very Dull" to "Strong Sun." Small area of the black lettering is a little fainter than the rest but o/w totally clean. First example we've seen of a celluloid light meter.
