Item Description
3.75" long die-cut two-sided with very realistic coloration of a pig that has text on front "Ready For The Pen." Item opens and interior holds double sheet of bright red felt to wipe ink from a pen point. This is unused. Reverse of the pig has text "In Days Of Yore The Pen Was Used/To Put The Fat Pig In; But Now We Take The Dirty Pen And Put It Into Him/Compliments Of/The Claus Handlebar Mfg. Co./Milwaukee, Wis." Bottom tiny text on reverse has W&H name. Tiny mark with a little color loss on reverse hind leg and at the top seam just above the tail is a 1/8" hairline cello crack on the folded celluloid. Both defects are very minor and show very little. Early 1900s. Hake Collection, comes with Hake's COA.
