Next comes "Goodyear Lifeguards" advertising button featuring a working glass thermometer at the center. From a Ft. Wayne dealer with blanks to pencil in mileages when maintenance is performed. Photo may show couple dirt traces but these are largely removed except for a faint gray dot on the "Greased" panel. Next is 1.5" button with numerals in a rectangular die-cut center window. Text reads "Fischer's Garage Oil Changed At 44444 Miles - Perryville, Mo." Back of the piece has a rectangular tin case which is permanently mounted, the front of which displays the tiny numerals. Apparently, the garage man could set the mileage and then assemble this button for each individual customer. Button front carries text "Pat. Applied For." First we've seen. Next is "Esso Motor Oil" 7/8" celluloid with metal back which reads "Happy Motoring" and with a small loop at top apparently to serve as a keychain fob. Last is 2.5" "The Distinguished DeSoto For 1953." Reverse is lustrous tin with stamped name of St. Louis Button Co. All 5 pieces are Exc. to Mint.
