Item Description
First are a pair of exceptionally large format bicycle-related buttons, both from Syracuse. Each has a tin-covered back with c. 1896 safety pin-style fastener. The "Donor Cycle Path Fund" has no text on back whereas "Frontenac Bicycles" has name of maker Baldwin & Gleason on back, but they obviously also made the first item. Last is 1.25" celluloid advertising "Bicycles/Olmsted's" with Syracuse address and caption "Pioneer Cycle House." Reverse of this has segment of metal which once held a hinged cover so the piece could serve as a compartment for tiny objects. Metal cover is gone but o/w all remains Exc. All 3 pieces display Mint. Hake book Collectible Pin-Back Buttons photo example Bicycles Section #92-43-59. Comes with Hake's COA.
