In addition, curl of the button reads “Copyrighted 1898 By Rockwood/The Whitehead & Hoag Co., Newark, N.J.” This is a superb example with extremely high gloss celluloid surface. At the lower right alongside the flag are 5 virtual pinpoint exceedingly faint dots of age but hardly discernable. We’ve seen very few examples whose condition exceed this.
