Group is c. early 1900s. Includes pair of 6.25x8.5" studio portraits with Silver & Fridman Chicago photographer's studio stamp. One shows three brothers wearing leopard skin leotards and athletic shoes and the other shows brother from behind flexing muscles. Other photographs include oval with all three wearing sleeveless t-shirts, all three in suits, and two cabinet photos including one with them on ship with crew. Comes with three real photo postcards, one has same image as studio portrait showing all three in leotards, one has cartoon art of them performing and one shows additional fourth brother. Group also includes five varieties of personally designed sheet music and two have ink notes for stage performance. Each has printed title attached at top "Three Bartos" and all are different varieties of "Military March-Two Step". Final item is unused sheet of stationery with their letterhead including text "Sensational Three Bartos America's Foremost Athletes" with James O. Bartos listed as manager and text at right "The Absolute Pinnacle Of Physical Ingenuity". Group has some aging and lt. dust soil here and there. Studio photos have pinholes in corners and emulsion has lt. silvering. Two real photo postcards have some fade. Overall group is VG/Fine. Group appears to be personally owned by one of the brothers. Interesting group for these early circus, carnival and vaudeville performers.
