Auction #206 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1278 in auction 206
Item Description
2-11/16" long rectangular case with hinged lid. Metal edge beneath the lid has some rust on a narrow streak with tiny speck of missing metal. The celluloid is totally clean although on one side edge there are a pair of small 1/8" cello splits plus a tiny 1/16" split. These show only when the piece is viewed from one of the two sides. Side which shows the small splits reads "Before Purchasing A Cigar Be Sure And See That This Blue Union Label Is On The Box, It Represents Living Wages And No Child Labor." The side that displays cleanly reads "If You Are Not In Favor Of The Trust Smoke Only Cigars Bearing The Blue Label Of The Cigar Makers International Union." Early 1900s. Fine.
