Item Description
7/8" with W&H paper. Beautifully colored in shades of green with color photos of both men. The brothers achieved powered flight in 1903. The spent the following years defending their patents and this button was issued six years later upon the return from Europe to a huge welcoming in their hometown. Button reads "Wright Brothers/Home Celebration/Dayton Ohio/June 17-18/1903." Button is NM displaying Mint. With it comes a 13/16" litho from the Yank Junior clothing aviation set (see item 589) although this is one of the varieties that does not have the company name on the reverse. This 1930s button depicts "First Wright Bi-plane-1903." Mint. Pair.
