Item Description
This issue is listed as scarce by the 2005 Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide. It still contains a Green Lantern story; he had just lost the cover to the changing dictates of the marketplace. As the new decade of the fifties approached, publishers saw the superheroes decline in popularity. Struggling to find out exactly what the public wanted, they began to experiment with content change. DC began featuring westerns on the cover of All-American. Alex Toth created this stunning cover. His choice of perspective speaks volumes about his talent; it is a completely original look at a clichéd situation. It is the second time that he has worked on Johnny Thunder and his artwork is featured on the interior. This unrestored issue also marks the last time that Mutt and Jeff would appear in this title. The pages are cream to off white. The book is CGC-certified 9.0 (VF/NM). According to the CGC Census, this is the highest-graded copy they have seen.
