Item Description
This issue contains the origin and first appearance of Solomon Grundy in the DC Universe. As a villain goes, he remains one of the most fearsome and popular in the DC cannon. He is so solid that he has made several appearances in the modern Justice League carton on the Cartoon Network. Paul Reinman provides a cover image so powerful in it’s horror that The Lantern and Doiby are dwarfed the size of that horror. Writers dominate this issue. There are stories from Alfred Bester, Joe Greene and Joe Blummer. Art is provided by Stan Josephs and Blummer. In addition to his terrific cover, Reinman also contributes interior art. The pages are off-white. This unrestored book is CGC-certified 7.0 (FN/VF). According to the CGC Census, this copy is tied with one other as the third-highest graded copy they have seen.
