Nobody could pack a cover with action during the Golden Age like Alex Schomburg. He was a master at putting a thousand details inside a crowded area. This technique really rewards the reader for taking a few extra minutes to let their eyes take the entire scene in. The Human torch makes a dramatic appearance and Captain America is pummeling a henchman. Bucky is swinging and whacking a crook with a very heavy mace. With this cover art, Schomburg is at his best. Timely introduced this anthology title in the Fall of 1943 and it lasted 11 issues. The pages are white. This unrestored book is CGC-certified 8.5 (VF+). According to the CGC Census, this is the third highest-graded copy they have seen. It is also recognized as being part of the Vancouver Pedigree.
