Auction #184 - Part II
Item numbers 953 through 2651 in auction 184
Item Description
In an age where hyperbole was just an expected part of a comic cover, Nedor was still on pretty solid ground calling this America’s Best Comics. Had they lasted into the Silver Age as a publisher, many of their characters may have achieved the success that DC and Timely characters eventually found. Spotlighted in this issue are The Fighting Yank, the Black Terror and Doc Strange. On the cover art, Alex Schomburg is a bit more restrained than he normally is, but he still packs a wallop. The pages are cream to off-white. This unrestored book is CGC-certified 9.2 (NM-). According to the CGC Census, this is the highest-graded copy they have seen. It is also recognized as part of the Mile High Pedigree.
