Item Description
The title is one of the very first anthologies to appear in the wake of Superman’s success. What sets the title apart is the fact that it contains all original material. The cover is by Joe Simon. Artist Jack Cole contributes interior art on The Claw. Supporting characters include Red Reeves, Lance Hall and Ace Powers. The title had some real legs during the Golden Age. It lasted until 1946. The publisher, Lev Gleason Publications, used this title to try and get a solid grip on the superhero market. In a few issues, they succeed with the introduction of the Silver Streak and also Daredevil. The pages are off-white. This unrestored book is CGC-certified 3.5 (VG-).
