MLJ Publishing would eventually go onto success with a red-headed teenage character named Archie. During their earlier days, they tried several different formats. This anthology is one of their stand-out efforts. The cover, by Irv Novik, is notable for the bondage scene. With issue ten the book moved to children’s fair and was re-titled Jolly Jingles. The pages are off-white to white. This unrestored book is CGC-certified 8.5 (VF+). According to the CGC Census this copy is tied with one other as the highest-graded copy they have seen. It is also recognized as belonging to the Chicago pedigree.
