Item Description
This early offering from MLJ Magazines, the company that would eventually become Archie, features the origin of two Golden-Age greats. Cover artist Irving Novick shows The Shield and The Wizard shaking hands on the cover, but inside they are caught up in their own trouble. The Shield’s origin is handled by Novick. The Wizard’s is done by Ed Ashe Jr. the cover is also notable for the presence of the American Flag. The anthology title lasted 13 issues. The pages are off-white to white. This unrestored book is CGC-certified 7.5 (VF-).
