Item Description
The 1" white metal suspension is DeWitt 1872-6 and Hake #3045. Neither book example is holed, but here it has a hole and ring on top edge joining it to an embossed silvered brass shield with vertical reverse pin. Reverse of the medal reads "For President/Horace Greeley/Universal Amnesty/Revenue Reform/Impartial Suffrage/1872." Near full luster. Exc. and rare. We can find no previous sales.
