First is DeWitt/Sullivan 1884-49. Mounted at the center is a Cleveland ferrotype surrounded by a six-pointed star further accented by a spread eagle and four draped flags. Bottom of frame has tiny hole which once suspended a ferrotype portrait of Hendricks set in a similar six-pointed star. Reverse pin is intact. First we recall offering in five decades. There is a tiny 1/8" emulsion melt mark on Cleveland's cheek but it is quite small and minor and overall this is a great frame with Exc. luster. The next item is the lower suspension of DeWitt/Sullivan 1892-21. Present is a shield-shaped brass shell with cardboard photos accented by pearled frames with a row of 17 rosette ornaments above while below is a shield, palm sprays, two stars and tassels. Missing is the brass eagle hanger with pin that was hinged to this lower piece. The hanger could be replaced as it was used on numerous campaign items from this era. What remains is NM.
