First is 1.75" naming famous Philadelphia department store along with the initials of University Of Pennsylvania. Pinned to the button is a 6" fabric bow also in the school colors shown on the button. Has Baltimore Badge back paper c.1910. The figural football buttons are largely from the 1930s and their oval sizes range from 2.25" to 2.75". The first with slogan "Eat 'Em up Panther" has ribbon suspended from the back holding a brass figural football charm. Yellow ribbon on the piece is mostly gone. Next from "Riverside" includes small text "Rubidoux Mission Confectionery." Next for "Redlands" has tiny text "Fred C. Fowler-The Men's Store." In row two is one with logo name of "Firestone" tires followed by two for newspapers "The Call-Bulletin" and "News-Press." In row three is one advertising "Silvercup" bread followed by one for "Wonder Bread" and a third for "For A Health Victory/Drink Fresh Bottled Milk." In the bottom row text includes gasoline name "Flying A" followed by "Wageman's For College Clothes" and last "Penny's All-American Values." This one is slightly flattened and has fairly numerous but small scattered scuff marks although still displaying well. The others are all Exc. and display Mint. An exceptional group collected over many years.
