Item Description
The Stewart Club began in 1915 and each year club member's would travel by train to one Notre Dame away game. These 2.75" figural football buttons all carry the name of the club along with the date and names of both "Notre Dame" as well as the team they were visiting. In the order shown the buttons are dated November or October and the years are: 1937, 1940, 1949, 1950, 1953, 1954, 1956. The teams being visited in order of our photo are: Pittsburgh, Iowa, Iowa, Pittsburgh, Navy, North Carolina, Purdue. All are Exc. and display Mint. Very rare limited issue buttons. First we've seen of any let alone a collection of seven.
