Item Description
8" tall (12" tall to top of raised handle) tin litho. Large size variety (also produced in smaller 5" size; both are rare) by T. Cohn Inc. ©1935 KFS, Inc. Pail features wonderful circus scene w/Popeye, Olive, Swea' Pea and Wimpy. Of note, Olive Oyl carries sign reading "Now Showing - Popeye - The Strongest Man In The World" as Popeye lifts 1,000 lbs. and Swee' Pea. Strongman Wimpy stands beside giant pile of hamburgers. Pail is slightly misshapen from use, while exterior of pail shows scattered wear in form of paint nicks/scratches; most notable being handle mark on Popeye image. Interior or pail shows obvious oxidation, but this has stabilized. Still bright and glossy, VG overall. Rare and one of the few examples we've offered in our 58 years. Thom Carchedi Collection.
