Item Description
The 1961 Topps Baseball set consists of 587 cards.  With the exception of some of the specialty cards, Topps returned to a vertical format with their 1961 cards, which bear a large color photograph of the player on each card's front, with his name and team affiliation printed across the bottom.

Warren Edward Spahn was an American professional baseball pitcher who played 21 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB). A left-handed pitcher, Spahn played in 1942 and then from 1946 until 1965, most notably for the Boston Braves, who became the Milwaukee Braves after the team moved west before the 1953 season. His baseball career was interrupted by his military service in the United States Army during World War II. A few of his many career accomplishments include being a 17 time All-Star, a Cy Young Award and World Series Championship in 1957, led the NL in strikeouts four times and threw two career no-hitters. Warren Spahn was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1973. The autograph is distinctly written w/excellent placement at the bottom of the card. A review of the PSA/DNA pop report indicates that this signed copy is one of only seven examples graded at this level with only seven others ever graded higher.
