2.5" tall die-cut and embossed sheet of brass w/silver finish on the front, 98% intact. Reverse has large vertical pin. The text quoted in our title is embossed and names famous newspaper which sponsored a charity titled "New York World's Christmas Tree Fund." That charity had a children's division which solicited penny and nickel contributions from children who could afford to help less well-off children. This badge was apparently given to the contributing children. Only the third example we've seen and in superb condition.  The earliest badge we know of with a reference to "St. Nick". Rare.
