2-1/8x3-1/8". The 1946-47 Propagandas Montiel series consists of 180 cards depicting athletes, including baseball players and boxers. Card fronts feature bw photos while backs have bios along w/advertising for Cuban stores. An album was issued in conjunction w/this card set, thus accounting for many examples found in lesser condition due to paper loss from album removal.

Paul Waner, nicknamed "Big Poison" in comparison to his little brother, Lloyd, known as "Little Poison", was a strong hitting outfielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates from the mid-1920s and throughout the 1930s. Paul would finish his career with a superb career batting average of .333 along with 113 homers, 1,309 RBI's and 1,627 runs scored. Waner would be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1952.
