Item Description
3.5x5.5". Very tough to find series of 16 Chicago Cubs postcards, each portraying a teddy bear utilizing a pitching motion on left in front of a bright green background with a player portrait inside an oval in the upper right-hand corner with name and position notated underneath. In between at front, center is a baseball saying to complement the action of the teddy bear. Credit inside bottom left border reads "Copyright, 1907, G.F. Grignon." Ed Reulbach was a top starting pitcher for the Chicago Cubs ball club during the 1900s-1910s time period. Reulbach finished his career with a record of 182-106 for an impressive .632 winning percentage along with a career ERA of 2.28, also one of the best of all-time. Postcard presents very nicely for the grade.
