Item Description
27.75x52" deep by 77.25" tall, backboard measures 27.75x30.25x10.25" deep. Released in Nov. 1993 by Data East USA, Inc. ©2021 Compass International. Designed by John Borg w/art by Kurt Anderson and Markus Rothkranz, game depicts scenes and images from the HBO horror anthology series Tales From The Crypt (the pinball machine even making an appearance on the show in Season 5), itself based on the infamous horror comic books published by EC Comics during the 1950s and even features the comics' horror hosts - The Crypt Keeper, The Vault-Keeper and The Old Witch. Gameplay is further enhanced by music by Brian Schmidt as well as over 200 speech calls by the Crypt Keeper himself! Game features include - three flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, three spinning targets, two vertical up-kickers, two ramps, two scoops, 3-bank drop target, six eyeball targets, captive ball, six-ball multiball modes and shaker motor. Playfield has rising/lowering tombstone. Cabinet was produced w/custom autoplungers shaped like doorhandle w/Crypt Keeper head, but this has been removed in favor of a push button launcher. Machine is missing the "Tales From The Crypt" tombstone topper. Cabinet shows scattered lt. wear as do interior sides of case. Backboard shows more moderate wear, w/scattered chips/flakes to edges and back of backboard. Cabinet is Fine/VF overall. Playfield shows just trace wear from use and displays Exc. Despite missing the tombstone topper, this is still a must-have for any horror fan’s collection. Due to the size of this item, packing and shipping must be done by a third party which could be costly. Please contact us with any shipping rate inquiries prior to close of auction. Item can also be picked up in-person if so desired.
