4-7/8" long by 4.25" tall toy depicting Mickey Mouse on his hands and knees. Mickey's head, hands and lower legs/shoes are celluloid while his body is velvet-covered and toy is complete w/original cloth cord tail. Made in Japan and distributed by Paradise in the 1930s. Toy has small label on underside which reads "By Permission Walt Disney - Mickey Mouse Ltd." Toy comes w/a key and works well, Mickey crawls as his arms and legs move. Pants and celluloid shoes have faded w/age and elastic cord on pants cuffs are exposed, though this cannot be seen when toy is displayed as intended. Displays VF. A rare toy of which only a few examples are known. The only other example we've offered in our 58 years was w/its original box and sold for $5,819 in 2013. Philip Samuels Collection.
