Item Description
From same set as previous five lots. Eddie Plank began his MLB career w/the Philadelphia Athletics in 1901 and would remain w/the club through the 1914 season before finishing up his career w/one Federal League season followed by two years w/the St. Louis Browns. Plank would finish his career w/a won-loss record of 326-194 and a sterling ERA of 2.35 along w/2,246 strikeouts. He was a three-time World Series champion. Inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1946. At time of cataloging, PSA pop report indicates that this is one of only six examples graded at this level w/only three others ever graded higher.
