What also sets this apart, and takes it to another level, is the fact it has three example card images (the only signage for this promotion to show the cards). Cards shown are #’s 6,17,18. Text includes “Free! Superman Adventure Pictures Every Day.” Also shows and promotes the Superman “Junior Defense League Of America” membership badge. The only other example known of this sign is for a different bakery “Ce-Lect” vs. this one “Schouten’s” and the other does not mention “Superman” on bottom text line like this one does (see the other sign on page 177 of Harry Matetsky’s Superman book). All blue has faded to gray, red has some fading as well but all yellow is much less impacted and remains deep in tone. Bottom right has a 3” vertical hairline slice, only seen when viewed closely, and w/archival tape repair on the reverse. Some other lt. aging and handling wear. Entire reverse has trace of glue staining. Front still displays cleanly and overall VG. Here is a case where rarity supersedes condition. The only time in our 58 years we have offered this treasure.
